Frequently asked questions.

Q: How long will it take for my vehicle to be detailed?

A: The length of time required for a detail depends on your vehicle type, the size of your vehicle, its current condition and the package you choose from our available services.

Generally, most standard details take between 1 to 4 hours. For our Full Armour Package services, you can expect your vehicle to be ready within 6 to 10 hours. Extensive jobs and Premium Detailing services may require extra attention and multiple stages of exterior polish, meaning your vehicle will be fresh and ready to be enjoyed after a few days with us.

We pay great attention to even the smallest, most inconspicuous areas of every vehicle, which is why we make sure not to rush any job. You can rest assured that your vehicle will be returned in impeccable condition, whether it takes an hour or a few days.

For a specific estimate, we ask that you please schedule your appointment at least 3 days in advance.

Q: We’re planning to sell our vehicle, but would like to get it detailed first. Even though it’s never been professionally done and has racked up quite a few miles, are you able to make it look like new?

A: We’re happy to do the very best we can in order to make your vehicle look as spectacular as possible! Unfortunately, if your vehicle hasn’t been maintained and professionally detailed over its lifespan, it’s very difficult to get it looking like new again.

Over time, every vehicle slowly deteriorates, the interior gets soiled through regular use, the paint oxidizes and the exterior clear coat gets damaged. This is normal and why we highly recommend regular detailing for your next vehicle – in order to prevent the negative effects of heavy wear and tear. Please note if the exterior clear coat is intensely damaged, a completely new paint job would be required to make it look brand new.

Although we won’t be able to restore your ride to its factory freshness, we can definitely make a noticeable and worthwhile difference. We can remove interior stains, polish out the exterior oxidation to the best of our ability and get that desired paint gloss as visible as possible.

Bring it in at the time of your appointment and we’ll let you know what we can do to help you get the most value we can from your sale!

A note for the future: detailing is a long-term investment.

Getting your vehicle detailed just once can help you sell it for up to an extra 10% on top of the would-be sale price! In order to extend the life of your vehicle and increase that resale value even more, we recommend that you invest in regular detailing. We’d love to help you get the most value for your money – after all, buying a vehicle is no small investment. It’s worth maintaining – trust us, the professionals.

Q: What’s the point of getting my vehicle detailed during winter weather? It seems like a waste of money if it’s just going to get dirty again the same day.

A: This is one of the most common beliefs among Canadian and west coast vehicle owners. Yes, the winter is harsh and the weather is unforgiving, but that means a vehicle with no exterior paint protection or interior cleaning upkeep will come out the other side of the season in rough shape, too.

Your vehicle actually needs extra love during the winter months. Of course it’s enjoyable to cruise in a freshly cleaned vehicle during the sunny summer sunshine, but it’s not all about the feeling. In order to properly maintain your vehicle and prevent brutal damage from cold weather and road contaminants, you shouldn’t neglect your investment.

By getting your vehicle professionally detailed during the winter, you’re protecting the paint from contaminants such as dust, mud, salt, sand, road tar, acid rain, industrial fallout and other grit and grime during frequent use. Not to mention, cleaning the interior carpets and surfaces will help to keep them looking clean year round. As soon as your vehicle leaves your garage or safe parking space, it will need to be cared for a little bit extra.

How can you do that? Through professional detailing. We ensure your vehicle’s paint is protected using wax, paint sealant and ceramic coating that is meant to endure the harshest winter road conditions. These protectants either repel the mentioned contaminants or allow the surface of the paint to be wiped clean much easier than if you haven’t applied any products at all.

Without winter detailing services, your vehicle will be completely exposed to the brutal elements of our northern winters, causing paint to become oxidized, scratched and corroded. Fast forward to spring and summer, and your vehicle will need desperate attention, meaning you’ll likely have to take out your wallet to pay a much bigger repair bill than if you were to maintain it through professional winter detailing.

Q: What are the benefits of interior steam cleaning?

We’re not here just to clean your vehicle. We’re here to completely “Teleios” your ride and get it looking and smelling as fresh as possible. Using Steam Clean Technology, we’re able to achieve a much deeper and thorough clean both inside and out.

That’s right, we use this technique on the interior as well as exterior surfaces, combined with compressed air. Why? We believe your vehicle deserves the best. The gentle pressure and high temperature breaks up most dirt, grease and grime to reduce chemical consumption up to 90% without damaging the interior surfaces. Our Steam Clean Technology uses pure dry vapour steam, eliminating the need for harsh chemicals that you’re used to getting from the big box stores. When you bring your vehicle to us, your vehicle will always receive the highest quality treatment.

Q: What is paint correction? Does this involve applying new paint to my vehicle?

A: In a short answer, no.

Rather than applying new paint to cover up imperfections and rust spots, as professional detailers we actually improve and remove the defects altogether. So if you’re looking to get rid of nasty scratches, swirl marks, contaminants and road tar, we’re your best solution!

Not only will we remove the defects, but the worn, dull paint will even look bright, glossy and vibrant again. We use high quality tools to professionally and safely level the paint, followed by sealant and wax to protect the new layer and achieve a deep, shiny gloss. This is the ideal alternative to a brand new paint job, which would otherwise cost you thousands of dollars and isn’t always necessary.

Q: Do automatic car washes damage paintwork?

A: Although they can be quick and easy to run through, we don’t recommend taking your vehicle through any automatic car washes.

With touch washes, the brushes and bristles on these systems are packed with dirt and debris, they wipe across your paint often cause deep scratches and surface swirls to appear, which are only enhanced when looking at your vehicle in direct sunlight. If you have any dirt or debris stuck on your vehicle’s exterior, that’s going to make the outcome even worse as the dirt is dragged across your paint. Antennas and mirrors are also often broken off with these types of touch washes.

With touchless washes, the results may not be as severe, however they can still do significant damage and don’t always get all the dirt off. Excessive water pressure is used in place of the heavy duty brushes, and this kind of pressure can strip off our high quality ceramic coating and wax protective layers, or in the worst cases, your actual paint. If you’re spending the money on our protective coatings that are meant to last for long periods of time, it’s not worth stripping them off in one or two washes. We’ve also seen scratches appear from the use of touchless washes, where the high water pressure is throwing rocks up at the paint from excessively dirty vehicles.

Instead of using automatic car washes, we highly recommend you to take the time to do a safe, effective hand wash or bring it to us, so that we can professionally care for your vehicle as it deserves.
